I received this awesome email today from someone who read my article, "Did James Harrod Have a Half-Sister?" It is this type of reader I want to attract with my historical writings and research - someone who is just as interested in local history as I am!

Thank you and a Thank you to Bobbi Dawn Rightmyer!!!

I read the article back a time, about Polly Brown being James Harrod’s half sister.  Frankly, I really love history.  I read a lot of history.  Yet, I couldn’t bring myself to give much, if any, credence to the article at that time.  I’m sorry I don’t recall the author who submitted it along with the photo.

Now this article by Bobbi Dawn Rightmyer, is really good.  It has substance, and it meshes with the history and historical references I’ve read.  Early Kentucky and James Harrods along with the many other early settlers fascinate me.  I always read what I find about them, in order to learn more about my early Kentucky ancestors!

My hats off to Ms. Rightmyer and you for publishing this piece …. THANK YOU!!!
